Your First Visit: Tips for First-Time Woofland Dog Park Visitors
Thinking of booking your first session at Woofland? Whether you're visiting our Portlaoise or Claremorris location, we want your first visit to be a tail-wagging success. Here's everything you need to know.
1. What to Expect
Woofland offers a private, secure, off-leash environment where your dog can run, sniff, and play freely. Unlike public dog parks, you'll have the entire space to yourself during your booked session. This makes Woofland ideal for reactive dogs, nervous pups, or restricted breeds who deserve a safe space too.
2. Booking is Easy
All bookings are handled online via our booking system. You can choose your preferred time slot, how many dogs, and once confirmed, you'll receive an email with instructions and access details.
3. What to Bring
Fresh water for your pup
A towel (especially in the winter)
Favourite toys or treats
A lead for arrival and departure
4. Arrival & Safety
Please arrive on time and keep your dog on a lead until you're safely inside the gated area. Only your dog(s) will be present during your time slot. This ensures a stress-free environment for both pups and humans.
We have a 15 minute gap between bookings to reduce the chance of meeting another dog/person which is why it is very important to arrive and leave on time. All bookings are 45mins.
5. Enjoy the Experience!
Let your dog explore, sniff, and enjoy. Our parks include fun agility equipment, open space for zoomies, and plenty of sniff-worthy spots.
"We were so impressed with the cleanliness, the security and the condition of Woofland Portlaoise. We had a great time with our black lab puppy Milo :-) he slept the whole way home." — Nikki Torsney
Whether you're in Mayo or Laois, your dog's first visit to Woofland is just the beginning of a new favourite routine.
